Editorial Board

Interested in being a part of our Editorial Board?

If you are interested in being a part of the Editorial Board or are a student in High School participating as a Junior Editor, complete the Editorial Board Interest Form.

What does it mean to be part of the Editorial Board?

The Editorial Board for Findings participates in the review of submissions that have been recommended for publishing through a peer review.  Typically editors will receive about 10 submissions to review.  Editors are also asked to participate in a short virtual orientation prior to reviewing for the journal.  In return, editors receive a small stipend.

If you have questions, please contact Catherine Bursk at cbursk@gmri.org

What is a Junior Editor?

A Junior Editor is a current high school student that is interested in reviewing submissions for the upcoming volume of Findings from the Field.  This is a great opportunity for someone with aspirations in science communications, publishing and editing, journalism, or any science field.  Applicants must complete the Editorial Board Interest Form and provide a reference from a relevant teacher.  After completion of all assigned reviews, Junior Editors will receive STEM/Community Science hours or a small $50 stipend.
